Babolat Pure Drive 2021 Club Player Review

We are lucky enough to demo several top racquets each year, but Babolat sticks are the overall favorites for performance and innovation. Our COURTGIRL team of competitive club players ranging between level 3.0-4.5 have just tested the new Babolat Pure Drive 2021 on outdoor Har-Tru courts. Here are the results!

LOVE AT FIRST SERVE!
Easy to pick up, plays like butter right out of the box.

SMOOTH. Allows for greater power on return of those nasty off-balance pushed back shots. Effortless control from the baseline for deeper returns and spin…oh, the spin.

ALL THE FEELS. Comfortable and absorbs the vibration making it feel like and extension of your arm.

UNEXPECTED. Improved serve control and placement with an expanded sweet spot. Seems to cushion the ball before unleashing powerful energy.

Overall this stick is impressive in its clean connected feel and effortless power. It fuses NASA grade materials and tech with Babolat ingenuity to improve on the earlier versions. The color is a nice sporty electrifying metallic blue (color of the year!), but we would love to see an all black, all silver version or an expanded color palette more geared towards female club players. It’s user friendly for a variety of players, a new favorite and one to keep.

Kudos to the Babolat team for continually being able to tap into new tech, understand and listen to their full-range of players and to improve and innovate making something already good even better.
